To ensure that the product stays in place and doesn’t move during transportation, care must be used when packing it in corrugated boxes. This is achieved by employing a Void Fill packaging solution, in which the empty spaces are filled with Void Fill paper. This provides the product with outstanding padding and protection, guaranteeing its safety during the delivery process. Fan-fold paper is often used to cover empty spaces in packaging boxes. It is also known as continuous paper or fan-fold paper. Because it is composed completely of biodegradable Kraft paper, it is an excellent choice for an eco-friendly packaging solution.

It has effectively replaced conventional packing fillers like foam, bubble wrap, and air cushions due to its high level of protection and durability. Its superior compression qualities also enable it to withstand shocks during transportation without harming the final product.

Overview

Kraft paper comes in two weights: 70 and 50 gsm. When it arrives stacked, it is ready to be loaded into the Paper Void Fill Machine. The Paper Void Fill Machine’s unique patented technology can convert multi-layer Kraft paper into a three-dimensional structure that provides effective protection.Kraft Paper Void Fill is made of 50% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable. making it an eco-friendly packaging choice for your business.Kraft paper is a popular material for filling voids. It is sturdy, long-lasting, and provides excellent item protection and cushioning. Kraft paper comes in rolls, sheets, or fan-folded stacks and is easily torn or cut to the appropriate length.

Kraft paper can be rolled, crumpled, or scrunched as needed. It is a great protective packing choice at a very low cost. It can also be wrapped around items to protect them from abrasions

Features & Benefits

  1. Sustainability: The Fan-fold void fill paper is a sustainable packaging material since it is composed entirely of biodegradable kraft paper. It is easily recyclable and non-toxic to the environment.

  1. High Protection: Fan-fold void fill paper offers exceptional compression and cushioning capabilities that shield your product from any wear and tear while in transit.

  1. Lightweight: Fan-fold filler paper is a perfect filler material to protect items in packing boxes because it is lightweight and doesn’t raise shipping expenses.

  1. Economical: Fan-fold paper filler is an affordable packaging option because it is easily recyclable and composed of renewable resources.

  1. Easy to Use: The fan-fold void filler paper is really simple to use because it already has creases that provide great padding along the product’s and boxes’ edges, protecting them throughout transportation.

  1. Cutting down on packing waste: Fan-fold void fill paper can be used as needed because it doesn’t have pre-cut lengths. As a result of its optimum utilization, packaging waste is decreased.

  1. No Machine Needed: No additional machinery or equipment is needed to use fan-fold paper for void filling.

  1. Compact: Since fan-fold paper doesn’t require large gear or equipment, it’s a small wrapping tool that doesn’t take up much room. It comes in a foldable packaging that is portable and small for storage.

  1. Speed: Fan-fold paper fills gaps quickly, which results in swift packing and great productivity at work.

  1. Multiple items in one: Because filler paper is intended to give products more protection and keep them intact so they do not move, fan-fold filler paper offers the freedom to pack multiple products in the same packaging box. Collapse and transit together.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Kraft Paper?

Kraft paper is a strong, durable paper produced from chemical wood pulp using the kraft process — a high-pressure, high-temperature chemical treatment that breaks down wood fibers while preserving their length and tensile strength. The result is a paper significantly stronger than papers produced using older sulphite processes. The word ‘kraft’ comes from the German and Swedish word for strength — an accurate descriptor. Kraft paper’s defining characteristic is its tear resistance: it maintains structural integrity under load, moisture exposure, and mechanical stress that would destroy standard printing paper.

Kraft paper is produced using the kraft pulping process — also called the sulphate process. Wood chips (typically pine, spruce, or eucalyptus) are cooked in a solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium sulphide at high pressure. This breaks down the lignin binding wood fibers together while leaving the long cellulose fibers largely intact.

Those long, intact fibers are what give kraft paper its exceptional strength. Standard mechanical pulping processes shorten the fibers significantly, producing weaker paper even at equivalent GSM.

After pulping, the brown liquor is removed and the pulp is washed, screened, and formed into sheets on a paper machine. The natural brown colour of unbleached kraft comes from the residual lignin remaining after cooking. Bleached white kraft undergoes additional chemical treatment to remove this lignin and produce a white surface.

What makes kraft production distinctively sustainable is the closed-loop chemical recovery system: the spent cooking chemicals are recovered and recycled back into the process. According to the Forest Stewardship Council’s 2023 Sustainable Packaging Guidelines, modern kraft mills recover over 95% of cooking chemicals, making kraft one of the most chemically efficient paper production processes available.
